Tesla Roadster demo shows 0-60 mph in 0.81s and a brief hop with mid-air attitude control

A demo of the new Tesla Roadster shows it going 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 0.81 seconds — and briefly leaving the ground, adjusting its attitude mid-air, flipping, and landing normally. Commenters attribute the trick to Tesla-meets-SpaceX tech (the SpaceX package's cold gas thrusters), with one quipping "you don't even need AI."
Others turned sarcastic: "We wanted cheap EVs for normies, instead we got barely flying cars for billionaires."
