OpenAI's Live API adds Decisions API for ~200ms real-time voice app decisions
juberti · x · 2026-10-16
OpenAI introduced native decision delegation in its Live API: voice apps that typically pick from a few known tools can use the Decisions API to speed up delegation, with a full LLM still handling long-tail queries. Decisions can trigger on every input/output frame (every 200ms), enabling a realtime engine to judge speech while it's still being spoken.
