ComfyUI launched a two-week open-source build contest on its Developer Platform after Higgsfield failed to deliver on its promise to open-source the entire platform. Backed by NVIDIA, RunPod, MiniMax, LTX and Black Forest Labs, the challenge offers $25,000 in prizes: a $10K grand prize, three RTX 5090 category awards (Most Innovative, Most Viral, Open Weights Only), and $250 in Comfy credits for 10 runners-up.
