Claude Code 2.1.299 released with 190 CLI changes and one system prompt change: --disallow-tools for claude plugin eval to block built-in tools, acceptance of security-testing/dual-use prompts with AskUserQuestion clarification, and idle compaction that compresses 200K+ token chats after 54 minutes idle.
Users are warning others to set "autoCompactEnabled": false and "idleCompaction": false, as native compaction can degrade long-running agent sessions.
