Anthropic announced it is committing $5 million in funding, compute, and Claude access to help the mathematics community navigate the massive changes AI brings.
The company said figuring out how best to use AI in math research—and in science more broadly—will take time, effort, and resources, and that it wants to support mathematicians as they drive scientific progress and define their field's future, in partnership with @Simo… and others.
A user replied jokingly asking whether every profession is getting $5 million donations.
