OpenAI launches Rosalind Academic Plan with sponsored access for US university labs
OpenAI · x · 2026-10-16
OpenAI is expanding access to GPT-Rosalind for academic research with a new Rosalind Academic Plan, aimed at helping scientific labs reason across biology literature and data to decide what to test next.
Eligible labs at US universities can get up to 12 months of sponsored access, with GPT-Rosalind gated behind trusted-access approval. Research data shared via the plan is not used to train OpenAI models by default.
