Dev ships AI-built browser shooter Canyon Overdrive, playable right inside an X post
AIandDesign · x · 2026-10-16
Designer @aianddesign released Canyon Overdrive, a roguelite shooter built conversationally on the Spawn platform: pilot the VX-9 Starblade through an endless neon canyon and break a blockade of six guardians. It plays free in the browser, no download, directly from the X post.
Released 2026-10-07, it got two updates in two days — removing autopilot that used to take over during trailer shoots, and fixing a pause bug when clicking back into the window. 46 plays so far with a 100% positive review.
The more interesting part is Spawn itself: every world has a public URL plus an agent-facing API — one POST call yields a durable token with no human in the loop, letting AI agents sign up and play autonomously, hinting at a new class of agent-playable worlds.
