Google officially announced that Gemini 4 Argon is now rolling out globally in Search's AI Mode, available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, alongside the Gemini app.
Per Google's Nick Fox and Robby Stein, Argon is built for nuanced, multi-step tasks, delivering frontier performance in real-world software engineering, enterprise knowledge work like legal and finance, and cybersecurity defense, with better intent understanding and instruction-following in back-and-forth conversations.
Notably, AI Mode responses now include source links — addressing the criticism from the earlier 3.8 Flash release, which shipped without them.
