"An LLM doesn't understand anything" gets the perfect parody reversal: neither do you

A viral X spat over whether LLMs "understand": Gregory M. Kurtzer posted that an LLM "doesn't understand anything — it's a statistical model spewing tokens based on probabilities and massive matrix operations." VoidStateKate replied with the exact same sentence structure: "Gregory M. Kurtzer doesn't 'understand' anything. He's a biological neural network generating thoughts based on electrochemical signaling, learned patterns, and massive neural operations."
The parody's clean mirroring of the original argument made it widely shared — another round of the classic debate over whether reductionist arguments against LLM understanding also apply to humans.
