New York startup Fragment raised a $12 million Series A co-led by FirstMark and BoxGroup to build software that lets AI agents safely handle billing and accounting. It follows an $11 million seed led by Stripe, with participation from Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and Plaid CEO Zach Perret. Founded by Thomas Neckel and ex-Robinhood engineer Varun Mohan, the company targets costly accounting errors as companies automate finance with agents; valuation undisclosed.
