birchlse · x · 2026-10-16
A screenshot of a job application update is making the rounds on X: a message from the 'HR Recruitment Portal' reads 'Congratulations! You have been moved to Disqualified! Please expect further details about the application soon.' Opening a rejection with 'Congratulations' struck people as hilariously tone-deaf, and the quote-tweet 'How exciting' turned it into the latest viral moment for automated hiring pipelines.
