Meta announced Muse Spark Open, calling it the "most capable US open-weight model to date" and the first in its class that can run on a desktop — using two Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studios with the latest MLX framework.
Unusually, the typically rival companies publicly collaborated on the launch: Zuckerberg thanked Apple's John Ternus, who replied with congratulations.
