NVIDIA and Volvo Cars are expanding their decade-long partnership to advance safe automated driving. Volvo's safety expertise will be combined with NVIDIA's Hyperion sensor/compute architecture, Halos OS, and Alpamayo Stack driving software, debuting in a next-generation Volvo as part of its largest-ever product push. The system targets door-to-door autonomy across highways, city streets and parking, with gradual introduction of eyes-off and mind-off driving. Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson says pairing nearly a century of safety research with world-class AI aims to set a new benchmark for trustworthy automated driving.
