Zero-latency lab-in-the-loop tests whether drug-discovery agents cheat via memorization

The allmeasures team built a zero-latency lab-in-the-loop to fix agentic science's biggest bottleneck: real experiments take forever. Physical interrogation now runs at compute speed, letting agents act, observe, and decide next steps.
- Motivation: agentic models excel at coding, but science requires slow lab cycles
- Method (three steps): measure once across AMA020 (1,021,880 molecules) / Kin0b (6,255,468 molecules), build a "measured world" per target (full score matrix of 472 amines × 433 aldehydes, 5 cores), then let many models run repeated rollouts proposing candidates, revising hypotheses, and looking up measurements in the same world
- Key question: whether agents have existing drug knowledge baked into their weights — hard to probe with a conventional lab-in-the-loop
