Anthropic commits to third-party safety evaluations, grants METR employee-like access

Anthropic has committed to having external evaluators assess its safety practices. It is in discussions with multiple organizations and has already given a team from METR employee-like access. The company published a blog post describing how it works with third-party evaluators — a concrete step toward independent safety auditing of frontier labs.
