Researcher argues RSI is an empty term: iteration, not recursive self-improvement

The author argues RSI (recursive self-improvement) is an empty term: there's no exponential, only iteration where some dimensions improve while others don't. Like drafting an email over 2-3 rounds, metrics settle or oscillate rather than improve indefinitely. He lumps RSI with AGI as aspirational terms meaning "we're working on it" and says to stop using it as a North Star to nowhere.
