Perplexity Open-Sources SPACE, First Piece of Its Agentic Runtime Platform

Perplexity has released and open-sourced SPACE, the first component of its Agentic Runtime Platform, aiming to raise the security bar for agentic products.
The team tested SPACE by attacking it with frontier models: in "Escaping SPACE: Part I", nine model configurations with root access inside the VM made 108 escape attempts, none of which reached the host.
