opencode PR adds Kiro provider with lazy-loaded SDK and credit-based TUI display
NachoFLizaur · ghdev · 2026-10-11
PR #54537 on anomalyco/opencode adds Kiro as a provider by bundling the opencode-kiro plugin on the V2 plugin API.
- Registers the bundled SDK via PluginPromise.fromPromise instead of runtime dynamic installs
- Shows session credits in the TUI sidebar/footer (Kiro is credit-based, so $ cost doesn't apply)
- Lazy-loads the Kiro SDK: no kiro-cli process or models until the user connects
- Auth via official kiro-cli login; model list from the user's account, metadata from models.dev
- Exact version pins and minimumReleaseAgeExcludes entries for the new packages
Verified with typecheck and provider tests in core and TUI.
