AWS's Trust in Depth: giving agents more autonomy without losing control
AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-10-15
AWS proposes "Trust in Depth," transplanting defense-in-depth discipline to agent governance: scope agents before they run (Kiro specs, Bedrock AgentCore Policies with automated-reasoning checks), give every agent a verified identity (Agent Registry, AgentCore), bound actions at runtime, and observe afterwards. Precisely stated rules get mathematical proofs — a tech AWS has run in production for a decade, from IAM at 2.1B+ req/s to Nitro — while judgment-dependent rules stay human-gated until reliability is proven.
