ArtCraft, the team behind the Rust Photoshop rebuild that grew from 3,500 to 60,000+ stars, has open-sourced WordCraft — a clean-room, pure-Rust reimplementation of Microsoft Word (12.9k stars). They're also rebuilding Excel (GridCraft) and PowerPoint (DeckCraft); WordCraft alone gained 12,000 stars in a week.
