An earnest counter to AI doom: young creators have the best tools in history
dreamwieber · x · 2026-10-15
Pushing back on depressing takes about young people in tech, the author offers an earnest counter: today's youth have insanely powerful tools — shoot 4K on a cheap iPhone, build an app just by asking an agent. Compare that to driving 40 minutes to spend $50 on a giant CD-ROM book that your computer couldn't even run. On the anxiety that senior programmer jobs feel unattainable: those jobs will be obsolete soon anyway, and young people will likely invent entirely new things. Advice: stay lean, avoid debt, build something of your own with friends.
