Peter Yang declares the newsletter dead as persistent agents replace the inbox
petergyang · x · 2026-10-15
Peter Yang endorses Dan Shipper's call that the newsletter is dead. Every's core business is a newsletter with 120k+ subscribers, so he doesn't say it lightly.
His argument: persistent agents mean he no longer checks email. With dots like GrokBots and Muse, he almost never opens his inbox except to reply to something specific. He expects to handle all of his email this way within a year.
