Dev Builds Claude Code SessionStart Hook to Let Claude Read rex Terminal History
max__drake · x · 2026-10-15
Developer maxdrake shared a neat workflow: he wrote a Claude Code SessionStart hook that lists all rex (terminal session recorder) "other" blocks in the session plus rex CLI basics, so he can ask Claude about other terminal sessions and it can read them via the CLI. Screenshot shows Claude Code pinpointing a dev-server port conflict from terminal history. The core trick: injecting terminal session history into agent context for cross-window debugging.
