OpenAI banned an account its own support had cleared in writing, appeals auto-rejected
darkknight915 · reddit · 2026-10-15
A Reddit user says OpenAI Support rep Angelo explicitly granted written permission (Case #12334678, screenshots attached) to create a new account on a different email. The new account was later auto-flagged and deactivated for linking to the old one, and every appeal, email and forum post is instantly nuked by bots within seconds — the system ignores the documented authorization and no human ever reviews it. The post is a plea for a workaround, and a stark look at how OpenAI's automated support loop contradicts its own written commitments.
