A 6-person team shipped agents inside a HIPAA platform in 3 months

A PE operating partner asked for agents inside a portfolio company's prior-authorization platform that sends patient data to insurers under HIPAA. Old hardcoded bots broke constantly, pushing coordinators back to manual submissions.
Instead of rebuilding, the team targeted the most painful piece—portal automation—leaving case management, EHR links and fax on the legacy system. Three months later, a six-person team runs a production extension handling those submissions inside coordinators' workflows.
