Jamie Dimon Warns of AI Agent Risks to Bank Accounts; JPMorgan Blocks Outside Agents
AccBalanced · x · 2026-10-15
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warned on an earnings call that giving AI agents access to bank accounts carries serious security and liability risks: when third-party AI tools touch customer finances, responsibility for misuse could shift, and customers must understand that. JPMorgan will restrict outside AI agents from its systems ("We're not going to allow just any outside agent to come in") while building tools to protect customers. Agent security has now become earnings-call material for major banks.
