Unsealed court documents show OpenAI engineer Abdulrahman Alfozan allegedly used his wife's ChatGPT account to plan, step by step, planting a secret audio recorder at the office: prompts between Sept 24-30 asked ChatGPT how to build a continuous audio recorder with live listening, encrypted SD card, power-only USB, speech-triggered second and third units, and silenced boot output. He was caught on camera allegedly retrieving the device; prosecutors say he later booked one-way flights to Saudi Arabia.
