edgarriba · x · 2026-10-15
The Kornia team has released kornia-slam, an open-source SLAM system written in Rust:
- Supports mono/stereo cameras and IMU for camera pose estimation and 3D mapping of surroundings
- Loop closure: recognizes revisited places to correct accumulated pose drift
- Works with ordinary webcams and OAK-D; maps and estimates are visualizable on screen
