A ChatGPT Pro subscriber reports on Reddit that scheduled tasks built on GPT-5.6 Sol and running flawlessly for months are now force-routed to GPT-6 thinking, which pauses tasks without permission when it fails. On iOS, model selection reverts to GPT-6 immediately after switching. The user calls the 6 series the most guardrailed GPT to date and says it has ruined workflows set up on 5.6.
