An NVIDIA blog post details the Nordics' push into advanced computing:
- The region, Europe's leader in unicorn density per capita, is becoming an infrastructure hub with a projected 1GW of AI cloud capacity by end of 2027; providers expanding include Bitdeer, CoreWeave, Crusoe, Nscale and others.
- In Sweden, a consortium anchored by Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments (with SKF as strategic partner) launched Sferical One, a shared supercomputer of two NVIDIA DGX SuperPODs — 16 racks of GB300 systems totaling 1,152 GPUs.
- The consortium will build services on NVIDIA's open Nemotron models; the region's edge lies in abundant renewable energy, strong data governance and academia-industry ties.
