NVIDIA's blog details how the Nordics are becoming Europe's AI infrastructure hub:
- 1GW of AI cloud capacity projected by end of 2027, with Bitdeer, CoreWeave, Crusoe, Nscale and others expanding.
- The Sferical One consortium (Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB, Wallenberg Investments) launched a shared supercomputer with two DGX SuperPODs, 16 racks of DGX GB300 and 1,152 GPUs, building on NVIDIA Nemotron open models.
- Enterprise deployments: Spotify cuts podcast-recommendation inference costs with TensorRT-LLM; ABB Robotics' Omniverse-based simulation hits up to 99% accuracy and cuts commissioning time 80%; Elisa launches the Nemotron-based agentic assistant Moontalk AIRI.
- Startups: Swedish startups raised $2.8B in H1 2026 (projected $5B for the year). Stilta post-trains Nemotron for patent portfolio analysis; Klang's Pianissimo Swedish transcription model cuts errors 75% and is 64x faster, open-sourced on Hugging Face.
- Also: Einride builds autonomous trucks on NVIDIA Hyperion; FirstQFM cuts quantum processor execution time 33%; Stockholm AI Lab to open in 2027.
