Claude paints pixel art with code: a 1,000-line DSL for animated scenes
Realistic_Comfort_78 · reddit · 2026-10-15
A Redditor built a pixel-art DSL and live viewer around Claude, which likes to 'paint with code'. The library includes mirroring, auto-outlines, palette swaps, reusable parts, scatter brushes, tilemaps, shadow/light layers and animation frames. pxl serve replays every drawing step in the browser as Claude saves. The demo witch's cottage is 1,000 lines of code with an animated bubbling cauldron, fire, candles, cat and frog. Install as a Claude skill from github.com/crsolver/claude-pxl.
