FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-15
a16z released the 7th edition of its Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps report, ranking web and mobile AI products by monthly traffic, with only 11 first-time entrants—the fewest across all seven editions, signaling a stabilizing leaderboard.
For the first time, the report adds a ranking based on observed U.S. consumer card spending via YipitData. Companion posts note the only category with significant spending is prosumer AI tools: the top 1% of U.S. spenders average $903/month, flowing to build & automate tools (n8n, fal, Nous Research), content creation (Higgsfield, HeyGen, Synthesia, Runway), and work tools (Manus, Fireflies, Figma, Notion, Replit).
