RoboParty launches RP1, a fully open-source full-stack humanoid robotics platform
GuanyaShi · x · 2026-10-15
RoboParty has released RP1 (ROBOTO 01), a high-performance, fully open-source humanoid robotics platform aimed at frontier robotics research and embodied AI model development.
The open stack spans:
- Mechanical: CAD, bill of materials, assembly docs
- Actuators: in-house ROMOMO joint designs
- Control: electrical systems, firmware, low-level drivers, motion control
- Development: simulation models, SDKs, data processing and training tools
- Engineering foundations: technical docs and research materials
The team's pitch is "open the black box": a motion deviation can originate in the model, control policy, actuator response, or mechanical structure, and RP1 exposes all layers so builders can understand and extend them. The repo is GPL-3.0 licensed on GitHub and still early (30 stars).
