Anthropic launches OpenTelemetry tracing for Claude Managed Agents across observability stack
ClaudeDevs · x · 2026-10-15
Anthropic announced OpenTelemetry traces from Claude Managed Agents, the Messages API and SDKs on Claude Platform. Every agent turn, model call, tool use and MCP server call flows to any OTel-compatible tool as standard GenAI-convention spans: Grafana Cloud/Honeycomb/Sentry/Splunk for debugging beside logs and metrics, Arize/Braintrust/Datadog/Langfuse/LangSmith/New Relic/PostHog for turning traces into evals, and Databricks Unity Gateway for org-wide token usage monitoring. Setup is a destination in Claude Console; Anthropic recommends reviewing traces before widening agent access.
