Developer yihuiindie discovered he had misunderstood Figma's pricing: inviting members by email unlocks seats well below the public $55/month rate.
- The invite dialog shows tiered seats: Full at $20/mo (Figma Design, Make, Draw, Dev Mode, FigJam, Slides, and more), Dev at $15/mo, Collab at $5/mo, and View free.
- He had complained that team seats jumped from $16 to $55 while seeking an affordable way for engineers and designers to collaborate with AI reading and editing designs.
- The invite-based $20 Full seat is a practical saving for teams buying Figma.
