LFM2.5-24B-A2B hands-on: ~95 tps on AMD W7900, Q8 fits 30GB with full 128k context
Thrumpwart · reddit · 2026-10-15
A local-model user tested LiquidAI's new LFM2.5-24B-A2B in Pi Agent workflows:
- Speed: 95 tokens/s sustained in llama.cpp with ROCM on an AMD W7900
- Memory: Q8 quantization with full 128k context uses 30GB VRAM
- Reliability: replaced Ornith 1.5-35B in several workflows; no failures on mechanical and long-running recursive tasks
The author calls it an excellent workhorse alongside a larger model, with deeper "council-mode" testing still ongoing.
