Google Opens Deep Review: Agentic Peer-Review System Tested on 16,000+ Conference Submissions
ymatias · x · 2026-10-15
Google launched Deep Review, an agentic system that helps authors and reviewers rigorously verify complex documents. After evaluating 16,000+ submissions across STOC, ICML and NeurIPS, it's now open to the public, expanding from math/science peer review to Google Docs and presentations. A diagram reveals its four-stage pipeline: document segmentation → adaptive compute budgeting (light/medium/high thinking) → parallel review with hallucination reduction → global synthesis with de-duplication and severity checks.
