Rhoda unveils fingertip-like tactile sensor letting robots identify objects while blindfolded
CSProfKGD · x · 2026-10-15
Robotics startup Rhoda has built an in-house tactile sensor that senses pressure, texture, vibration, slip, and temperature—like human fingertips—at a much smaller form factor than commercial alternatives.
In a demo, the team gave its robot a sense of touch and showed it recognizing and retrieving objects with its cameras blindfolded, highlighting manipulation without vision.
