ADL says it works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and xAI to curb antisemitism; Claude translation blocked by safety filter

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt revealed in Israel that the organization has been working with top frontier labs—OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, and xAI—testing their models and using the results to push suppression of antisemitism "right in the source code."
The accompanying screenshot shows Claude refusing to translate a Hebrew passage: it explains an automated safety filter cut off its first attempt, and it cannot regenerate the content even reworded in the same conversation, suggesting it may be a false positive triggered by the subject matter or named officials. Together the posts fuel debate over how external organizations shape frontier-model guardrails.
