TRELLIS.2 image-to-3D runs at full 1536 resolution on a 16 GB card via tiling patches
over-yonder-tech · reddit · 2026-10-15
over|yonder's Espalier-2 patches Microsoft's TRELLIS.2 pipeline so its 1536 cascade, which normally OOMs on 16 GB cards, runs fully on an RTX 5070 Ti: tiled high-resolution decoder stages plus chunked remeshing during GLB export, with original weights and no quantisation. Measured peaks are 11.9 GiB for generation and 13.3 GiB for export (5 min + 1 min). The tiled decode differs only by floating-point summation order (max feature delta 0.016) and exports are bit-identical. Patches and install script are open-sourced, with a full write-up and side-by-side comparisons against Microsoft's published 962,903-face catapult GLB.
