Roivant CEO calls Dario's AI drug predictions overly optimistic
MaxUnfried · x · 2026-10-15
Matt Gline, CEO of $24B biotech Roivant, pushed back on AI fast-cures predictions from figures like Anthropic's Dario Amodei in an interview with STAT's Matthew Herper. He said anyone working in biotech finds such claims hard to believe, describing the industry as "a wood chipper built to ingest souls." Still, he hedged: if Amodei is right and every disease is cured in five years, "we're all the winners from that outcome."
