Meta builds AI research scaffold for health science with 5M health records
_jasonwei · x · 2026-10-15
Meta is exploring how AI can accelerate health science research. Because health data science relies on imperfect real-world data and choices about cohorts, variables, and causal assumptions, Meta built a human-led research scaffold powered by Muse Spark 1.3 and Muse Wonder, with access to 5M retrospective de-identified electronic health records and public data. A cohort of medical experts used it to run original research, speeding up hypothesis generation, code execution, and manuscript drafting while keeping full scientific authority.
