Google Ads rolls out AI-driven channel prioritization and budget allocation globally

Google Ads is rolling out two new controls globally: channel prioritization and budget allocation, covering Google Search, Google Shopping, Performance Max, with Demand Gen support coming soon.
Channel prioritization lets advertisers split inventory into "High priority" and "Low priority" tiers: Google's AI will fully fund high-priority channels first (within Target CPA/ROAS targets) before allocating remaining budget to lower-priority channels. After an alpha test in August, the feature is now generally available, configurable at both account and campaign levels.
