Claude Code desktop app overhaul: side-by-side sessions, quicker starts, per-session monitoring
trq212 · x · 2026-10-15
Anthropic's @ClaudeDevs announced a major Claude Code desktop app update focused on running many sessions side by side: faster session starts, easier splitting of work across multiple sessions, and at-a-glance visibility into what each session is doing. Developer trq212 calls it "almost a v2," noting the app is now far more aware of its own capabilities, like spinning off subsessions to work with you.
