Anthropic has added 10 free courses to Coursera, expanding its catalog from 12 to 22, targeting educators, developers, small-business owners, and creative professionals.
Highlights:
- AI Fluency for pK-12 Educators (built with Teach For America, 4-hour beginner course): adapting teaching materials with AI while protecting student data and keeping professional judgment with teachers.
- Train the Trainer (with the American Federation of Teachers): a workshop kit with facilitator guide, slides, and grade-band exercises for teachers training colleagues.
- Other courses cover software development, product design, creative work, and small-business operations, with monthly additions planned.
The author recommends the two education courses as the starting point for teachers whose schools offer no AI training yet.
