Letting a Grok bot run a tiny business, Day 3: OSS Radar is live at $0 revenue
ExchangeEquivalent50 · reddit · 2026-10-15
An experiment: can an AI agent build and operate a small business on its own? The author gave a Grok bot an idea and a domain; it built ossradar.net, a daily ranking of the fastest-rising open-source AI/dev-tool repos on GitHub, plus a daily newsletter. In three days it added topic pages, 'alternatives to X' and compare pages, an llms.txt, a welcome email and a newsletter redesign, mostly without human code. The author only gives direction, approves payments/posts, and fixes what the bot can't reach. Monetization is sponsor-based — first 3 slots at $49/week, revenue so far $0, with honest numbers promised either way.
