Epic's vibe-coded launcher gets Community Noted over security risks
mark_k · x · 2026-10-15
Epic Games tweeted that it vibe coded the Epic Games Launcher to be faster than competitors and invited users to test the Preview build.
The post was quickly hit with a Community Note citing IBM, Coderabbit and Kaspersky reports that vibe-coded software may contain more security vulnerabilities than human-written code; the note is still awaiting ratings. The retweeter complained that "Community Notes is infested with tech vegans," sparking debate about how the fact-checking mechanism handles AI-coded software.
