Claude desktop 2.37337.1 silently nests Code sessions, sparking user complaint issue
Rwy26 · ghdev · 2026-10-15
After updating to 2.37337.1, Claude desktop's Code tab sidebar now nests sessions under the parent session that spawned them (parentSessionId). Archived parents orphan children at top level, splitting related sessions across two places.
The filer notes the change appears in neither the official changelog nor in-app notices, and cites related issues (fork display changes, removal of the "Group by" option). Requests:
- Announce UI structural changes with reasons in release notes;
- Add a setting to disable nesting and restore a flat, most-recent-first session list.
