Claude's plan to turn project folders into threads draws heavy-user backlash

A Claude Max x5 user pushes back on Anthropic testing new project threads in Claude Code (planned to roll out to Chat). He uses folders to index hundreds of small, memory-off conversations by date and argues folders and threads are fundamentally different tools — threads would break his isolation-based workflow. His ask: add threads, but keep folders as a separate feature.
